Short my posting goal, with 1296 hours to go...

Today I am home packing while the boys are at the Saints Game!
They scored two box stadium tickets, courtesy of Sisung Finance!
Well, my INTENT was one post a day for The 2015 Chapter blog postings.. yet here we are with 2 months left in the year and my post count is 160 (starting January 22 first post).   Using 344 as target (due to late January blog start), I am 184 postings shy of my goal.

As I am not a big fan of giving EXCUSES, I won't.  However, I will point out QUALITY vs QUANTITY!   I do seriously doubt you would want to hear about the day I was ill, possibly from bad oysters, or the struggles we had cleaning up a seasonable beetle attack at the warehouse, or flat tires, burnt cookies....  you get the drift.

While the goal of The 2015 Chapter Blog was to keep connected with friends as we embarked on new journeys, I still am a rather private person and will not air all my dirty laundry!

I would rather you celebrate with me
my successes and good times!

How many days until we set off on a new 2016 adventure?

Updated & Redesigned Web Page, Talmarc Film Productions

While not complete, I have released the new website for Talmarc Film Productions, replacing an out-dated site.  Using blogger as the base template, I tried to follow the 'rules' for an effective home page and website.  Take a look!

Happy Halloween!

We had a GREAT 2-day Halloween celebration, which included walking in a parade down the streets of the French Quarter.  Our pirate costumes were well received and we are sure to repeat the performance during the year at other parades & events.

(NOTE- pirate hats were also made by me hand blocked from wool capes, and hand-trimmed and decorated.  After two hats completed, I am ready to take orders for these pirate tri-corns!  Place your order via my Etsy store.)

Digital Pandemic

Check out this series of photos from photographer Eric Pickersgill title "Removed".

While he staged the photo shoots, he created them from every-day situations as he observed how while cell phones and technology has given us obvious benefits, a social 'disconnect' is occuring...

Having grown up without technology (err.. showing my age..)  when you look at these pictures, I can only think of how the scene would play out prior to 'portable tech'. .. instead of staring at the screen, or talking on the phone, we would TALK and LOOK at the person in our company!

Thanks Eric for a great social statement!

Skeletons!

You know how you throw the family in the car during the Christmas season and go look at lights?
Well in NOLA you do the same sort of thing during Halloween week!

The big mansions really put on a show!  Check out this one with about 30 skeletons. I think because not everyone would figure out the pun- they had labels.  Which one is your favorite?

Lucy's 'Half-Brother'

Boots- just another day on the job.
From a post on Facebook, we have discovered a relative of Lucy, our blue heeler.  Apparently this handsome fellow is from a litter after Lucy- from the same mother... not sure of the dad.

I can tell from the pic that they ARE cut from the same cloth... "BOOTS" lives in Tucson.

Would love for them to meet some day!

Lucy- loves the park and rolling in the grass!

Blackball the word "BUT"

“The only limits to the possibilities in your life tomorrow are the buts you use today.”
                                                 ― Les Brown

Definition of BUT (as conjunction):
1. used to introduce something contrasting with what has already been mentioned.
2. used to indicate the impossibility of anything other than what is being stated.

Synonyms: yet, nevertheless, nonetheless, even so, however, still, notwithstanding, despite that, in spite of that, for all that, all the same, just the same.

Think about it... the word is a cop-out...  an excuse... easy way to avoid...

Another good quote:
“My brother once told me that nothing someone says before the word ..‘but’ really counts.„
                                                                                    — Benjen Stark

TODAY your mission is to
BLACKBALL the word "BUT".
