We then went further north up the coast to Heceta Head Light House beach area (we will do the lighthouse later in the week), and took some time to walk on the beach.

Oregon Day 2 continues: Sea Lion Caves
Day 2, after lunch (Wyatt dined on sushi from a Hawaiian food truck), we headed up north of town to the Sea Lion Caves, America's largest sea cave as identified by the Guiness Book of World Records. It is the year round home of the Stellar Sea Lion. As of 2009, the Sea Lion Caves area is one of the few places along the west coast where the population of the Stellar Sea Lion is increasing. (Learn more HERE). We took the elevator down 200' to the observation level and were pleased to find alot of Sea Lions lounging or playing on the rocks.
We then went further north up the coast to Heceta Head Light House beach area (we will do the lighthouse later in the week), and took some time to walk on the beach.
